The Social Security process is complicated. Many times claims are denied simply because you don’t understand the process. After your initial denial is received, we will help you by filing a Request for Reconsideration. It generally takes three to four months for Social Security to consider your Application for Reconsideration. If your case is denied at the Reconsideration stage, we will then file a Request for Hearing on your behalf. It usually takes between 12 and 16 months to obtain a hearing date once the Request is filed.
